Remarks: SP stands for Special Performance and this version of the 747 was built to fly long thin routes around the globe, that the classic Jumbo's either didn't had sufficient range to fly or were too big in terms of capacity. Forty five (45) "mini Jumbos" were built during the period 1976-1989, making this version a rarity. Around ten (10) of them fly today and some of them belong to kings like this example which is owned by the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia. Her beauty is depicted here as she taxies to the holding point of 03L of LGAV. Being a true Rolls Royce of the skies, she uses four Rolls Royce RB-211-524C engines insted of the Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7R4W which are used by other operators.
