RemarksEx Air Canada B762 sitting for three+ years now among other ships form the company's fleet. This one was the famous "Gimli Glider" which ran out of fuel halfway flight AC143 and glided to Gimli Industrial Park Airport where it safely landed in front of the surprised visitors of the park. RemarksMilitary Hercules don't come much more colourful than this Drone Director from the USN Unit VC-3 based at North Island. It retains a USAF type serial converted to a USN Bu No after it was pulled from storage at MASDC and transferred to Navy service. It was photographed on the Flight Systems ramp.
