Remarkscaught just as she was being broken up this is the 707 that Alastair posted the nose from. Such a shame as she was the only 400 series left intact!

RemarksSadly this is all that remains of 707 G-APFJ. One of the original 436s delivered to BOAC, these differed from other seven-ohs by having RR Conway engines. Ending her days with their charter arm, British Airtours, she then moved to BA's collectionat RAF Cosford. Remained intact until the decision to disperse the collection ihch had suffered from external storage and she was broken up in 2006. At that point she was the last RR engined 707 surviving in the UK . The NSM acquired the forward fuselage so at least some of a different favoured Boeing has survived
