Remarks: | Dedicated to all "Goofy" Mechanics and Service Technicians! This particular Do228 (SX-BHI) had a minor accident on 24/09/1997 when the nose landing gear malfunctioned and couldn’t be extend during the final approach to Milos island (Flight OA040). The plane returned to LGAT and redirected to LGTG for a forced landing with 17 pax on board and the two crew members. The redirection occurred because one of the airport foam systems was on maintenance and the other failed. “Saved by H.A.F bell” the Do228 landed safely with no nose gear. No injuries occurred. | Links | Wikipedia Airline Link Wikipedia Aircraft Link |
